Dear Supporters:
I wish to congratulate Kimberly Esmond Adams on her election as Judge for the Fulton County Superior Court.
I am, of course, disappointed not to have won this judicial race. But running for a public elected office was a wonderful opportunity. It has given me the chance to learn more about my county of birth, to meet new friends and to become reacquainted with former classmates. Running for elected office for the first time has also allowed me to build a strong network of contacts and improve my name recognition throughout Fulton County.
During the past four months, I worked hard to run a smart, issue-oriented and positive campaign. I am proud to have earned the public support of many eminent attorneys, and the endorsements of Georgia Equality (www.georgiaequality.org) and Urban Independents
(www.urbanindependents.org) and the Bipartisan Voters organization. I trust that I have represented the citizens of Fulton County well, and made my supporters proud.
One of my happiest moments on the campaign trail took place at my high school alma mater. I was talking to a group of students, and one of the students said that I had helped his family with the adoption of his little brother. I am gratified that much of my work brings joy to adoptive parents and siblings, and provides stable and loving homes to children. Now that my campaign has come to a close, I will continue my work of helping Georgia families in domestic relations matters. Thank you again for your prayers, help and support. Please continue to keep me in your prayers.
Sincerely,
Karlise
